Dragonite is a versatile All-Rounder that excels at dealing AOE damage and getting bonus effects from successful attacks. These perks may increase the round's damage and durability.
Given that it's the only ranged All-Rounder in the game right now, Dragonite has a little edge. With Hyper Beam, it can do a lot of damage in short bursts, or with Outrage, it can transform into a conventional melee All-Rounder. It is most recognised for its semi-global presence because of its Unite Move, Draco Impact, which enables it to move fast across the map and aid in teamfights or goal scoring. Sadly, because its primary damaging move is only available at level 8, scaling prevents it from being as effective as it may be.
General Tips[]
Rush Level 8[]
When Dragonite reaches Level 8, it gains access to Multiscale, its main damaging move. This enables Dragonite to participate in one-on-one battles appropriately and offers it a power boost in both offence and defence. In order to rise from there, try to reach Level 8 as soon as possible. The best and most effective way to get to Level 8 in the game is to head to the Jungle from the beginning.
Engage Fights Using your Dash Moves[]
You'll need to use Dragonite's dash movements to position yourself for your damaging moves. When Dragonite reaches Level 5, it may do two distinct dash manoeuvres: Dragon Dance speeds up Dragonite's mobility and attack, while
Extreme Speed is a useful starting move that can shock the opponent. To make the most of your increased mobility after reaching Level 8, decide in advance which move you will use. To use them successfully, you will eventually need to modify your gameplay based on the moveset you have picked. The things you equip will also have an impact on how well you play the game.
Utilize Boosted Attacks[]
As Dragonite develops, its Boosted Attacks get better. You receive all of the Boosted Attacks from earlier evolutions after you've completely evolved. Even if you can't control them, being aware of their affects can help you win battles. You get an immediate Boosted Attack when you use Dragon Breath. This combo—Boosted Attack -> Dragon Breath -> Boosted Attack—allows you to do some respectable damage. In early game confrontations, use the combination.
Utilize Draco Impact's Mechanics[]
Unlike other Pokemon, Draco Impact has distinct aiming and recharging features that let you employ it more freely and effectively in a variety of scenarios. Utilising these impacts to your advantage can improve your gameplay and overall performance in the game. Dragonite may be knocked down while channelling the move after Draco Impact is activated since it will still be vulnerable to assaults before to taking flight. It is therefore advisable to be aware of when it is safe to use it.

Dragon Breath[]
In addition to causing damage to opponents, Dragon Breath may be used to reset your boosted attack. The increased attack reset feature of Dragon Breath allows you to perform a brief combination. For instance, launch three attacks, the third of which is boosted; use Dragon Breath right away; and end with still another enhanced assault.
Hyper Beam[]

By stacking the Dragon Dance damage increase effect, you may enhance Hyper Beam's damage output and deal a significant amount of damage to your opponents in a single burst. The icon for Hyper Beam will gradually change to show the number of times you've piled Dragon Dance's damage-increasing effect.

Steal or Finish Off Boss Pokemon[]
Hyper Beam's percentage based damage makes it a great move for stealing or finishing boss Pokemon like Rayquaza. With the right timing and a bit of estimation, you can quickly burst them down even at 1/4 of their HP.
Outrage[]
Make The Effect Last[]
Cast Outrage again whenever it's not on cooldown to extend its effect and prevent the brief stun that occurs after it expires. Additionally, keep assaulting foes to shorten Outrage's cooldown between hits. Due to the improved attack speed and the mini-stun augmented attack effect you receive, outrage is a fantastic tool for battling opponents. These effects work well together since a faster attack speed allows you to use the mini-stun attack more frequently and decreases the cooldown of Outrage with each strike.Unite Move[]
Draco Impact[]
Use Draco Impact at close range to survive difficult fights and even turn them around because it has a peculiar distance-based cooldown, especially if you have Buddy Barrier on you. You can even cast it far enough away from the danger to use it as a fast escape. Use the long range of Draco Impact to immediately assist your comrades in team battles. You can utilise Draco Impact to finish off fleeing foes in addition to helping your allies in teamfights. Draco Impact's AoE damage allows you to perhaps get numerous kills at once. You are at least close enough to finish them with your movements or attacks if you are unable to use Draco Impact to eliminate them. (Note: Just be careful not to place yourself in a precarious situation because that will allow the opposing side to easily take you down.)
Builds[]
NOTE: THESE BUILDS AND BOOST EMBLEM COMBINATIONS ARE RECOMMENDED. If you have your own build idea, see here.
Ranged Burst[]
This build makes use of the ranged attacks of Dragonite to kite opponents with Dragon Dance before taking them down with a fully charged
Hyper Beam. Keep in mind that water-type enhanced assaults shorten the cooldown of your moves; take advantage of this to repeatedly use them. This build can be used in every lane, but the jungle is where it shines the most. Your normal attacks get better with Muscle Band and Scope Lens thanks to enhanced damage, faster attacks, and critical hits. As you kite your foes down, Focus Band strengthens your defences and gives you a survival tool.
Your normal attacks become even more effective with X Attack thanks to enhanced damage and attack speed. Additionally, it increases the power of your attacks, especially Hyper Beam.
Six Brown Emblems for maximum damage, three Red emblems for a little bit of Attack Speed, and one emblem of any colour should make up your boost emblem loadout. Since your attacks and Hyper Beam will be what most of your damage comes from, equip emblems that increase attack or critical-hit rate. Movement Speed and Special Attack can be freely traded.

Melee Jungle[]
This melee-style jungle build focuses on isolating opponents with Extreme Speed, catching them off guard with
Outrage, and then dispatching them with conventional attacks. Similar to the previous build, keep hitting opponents after using
Outrage to shorten the cooldown of your moves by one second for each hit. Additionally, keep in mind that activating
Extreme Speed causes
Multiscale's cooldown to be reset, giving you continuous damage reduction.
You can chip away at your target's HP with Muscle Band, and it has a respectable attack speed that will help you activate the cooldown reduction as you hit targets. Focus Band and Buddy Barrier add additional toughness and survival to Multiscale's damage reduction, allowing you to stay in battle for longer. For this build, Slow Smoke is a fantastic fight item that gives you respectable crowd control. Use it when diving targets with
Outrage and
Extreme Speed. Instead, you can equip X Attack to deal greater damage.
7 Red Emblems for maximal Attack Speed and 2 Brown emblems for a little damage should make up your boost emblem loadout. Emblems that increase Attack or HP should be worn because the build is focused on extending Outrage. Movement Speed and Special Attack can be freely traded.

Brawler[]
This build is designed to dive into battles with Dragon Dance and
Outrage before launching a barrage of regular attacks. Keep assaulting targets after using either of your moves to shorten the cooldown of your moves by one second for each hit. As you pound your foes, Muscle Band and Scope Lens increase your damage, movement speed, and attack speed in conjunction with the bonuses from
Dragon Dance. Buddy Barrier lets you stay in battles longer and deal damage by giving you high HP and respectable resilience.
With this aggressive build, Slow Smoke gives you a powerful tool for crowd control. Always combine it with Outrage to stall opponents as you pound them with attacks.
7 Red Emblems for maximum Attack Speed, 2 Brown emblems for a little damage, and 1 emblem of any colour should make up your loadout for boost emblems. Since the build is identical to the melee jungle build, equip emblems that increase attack or critical-hit rate. Movement Speed and Special Attack can be freely traded.

Matchups & Counters[]
Head Straight for Them Using Extreme Speed or Draco Impact[]
When fighting, these Pokemon would rather stay far away from their adversaries. Additionally, they have a significant potential for damage, which could be harmful to Dragonite. But they are weak, and Dragonite can quickly take them out. When using Hyper Beam, use
Draco Impact on their position to force them to move, then use
Dragon Dance to evade their moves and charge up Hyper Beam. When using
Outrage, utilise
Extreme Speed to reach to melee range rapidly before utilising Outrage to knock them down with attacks. Use Hyper Beam on them to eliminate them once it has reached full charge.

Kite Them with Range Attacks or Brawl with Them Using Outrage[]
These Pokemon, like Dragonite, are best in close quarters battle and largely rely on their combinations or attacks to deliver damage. Furthermore, they are strong enough to withstand Dragonite's attacks. But Dragonite, a ranged Pokemon, may kite them with its ranged attacks. As an alternative, Dragonite can match them head-to-head with Outrage's assistance. To keep them inside shooting range while kiting them with attacks and charging
Hyper Beam, perform
Dragon Dance. Use Hyper Beam to eliminate them after it has reached full charge. To win the battle when using Outrage, keep ahead of them with
Extreme Speed and use all of Dragonite's Boosted Attacks' effects to do greater melee damage.

Group Up With Allies[]
Due to their incredible durability, Dragonite will find it challenging to defeat these Pokemon on their own. In light of this, it is important to form allies with friends in order to use Dragonite to defeat them. To keep them inside shooting range while kiting them with attacks and charging Hyper Beam, perform
Dragon Dance. Use Hyper Beam to eliminate them after it has reached full charge. When utilising
Outrage, remain on top of them with
Extreme Speed and perform superior melee damage to take them out.

Take Down The Support[]
These Pokemon seldom ever go alone; they often remain with their buddies. They are hardly a danger to Dragonite in and of itself, but their support powers make them useful in battle. During battles, it's preferable to eliminate them first by using Hyper Beam to bring them down or using
Outrage to assist you defeat them with melee strikes.

Avoid Burst Damage[]
These Pokemon have a strong burst damage potential and are extremely nimble. But when they miss their burst damage attempt, that's when they become susceptible. Use Dragon Dance to sidestep their techniques when utilising
Hyper Beam, then use Hyper Beam again to strike back. Use
Extreme Speed to thwart their movements when using
Outrage, then use melee assaults to defeat them. Use
Draco Impact as a means of escape as needed.

Top Hard Counters[]
It takes some time for Dragonite to attain its Level 8 power surge. This is exploited by most of Dragonite's challenging matchups, which outdamage it in damage output. Additionally, Dragonite is vulnerable to crowd control skills, which can impede its damage output, particularly when employing Outrage.
