Pokémon UNITE Wiki
Show off some Moxie with Gyarados in Pokémon UNITE. This Melee All-Rounder is primed to wreak havoc with its atrocious power on Aeos Island.
Official Description

Gyarados is a melee All-Rounder Pokémon.

Obtaining[]

Unite Battle Committee[]

The Gyarados Unite license can be bought from the Unite Battle Committee for 13,000 Aeos Coins or 575 Aeos Gems.

Strategies[]

For more tips and tricks on using Gyarados, see here.

Take Advantage of Moxie's Effects[]

Gyarados may take advantage of Moxie's reduced cooldown by engaging in more combat, either by helping out or taking down opponents. As a result, Gyarados' team may have an advantage over rivals in battles since it can employ its moves more frequently.

Evolution[]

Gyarados features a special method of evolution. The evolution of Gyarados isn't always dependent on level, in contrast to other Pokemon. If it fills up its effort gauge quickly enough, it can change. Furthermore, its main moveset will only become accessible when Magikarp transforms into Gyarados. But in order to get to Level 7, Magikarp must transform into Gyarados.

Ability[]

Magikarp
Rattled
When the Pokemon is damaged by an opposing Pokemon, its movement speed is increased for a short time. This effect can stack up to 5 times. Each time the Pokemon with this Ability knocks out an opposing Pokemon, scores a goal, or otherwise makes a contribution in battle, its effort gauge increases. Once the effort guage is full, the Pokemon evolves into Gyarados.
Gyarados
Moxie
When the Pokemon knocks out an opposing Pokemon or makes an assist, all of its move cooldowns are reduced.

Movesets[]

Icon Attack Type Cooldown Damage Description Notes
Starting Final
Standard Attack N/A Magikarp

Has the user attack nearby opposing Pokemon, dealing damage.

Gyarados

Becomes a boosted attack with every third attack, dealing increased damage.

Level 1 - Level 3

The following moves can be learned at Level 1 and Level 3, in any order.

Flail
Area
7.5 seconds 506 702 Has the user flail about, dealing damage to nearby opposing Pokemon. The lower the user's remaining HP, the more damage this move deals.
Splash
Dash
2 seconds N/A Has the user jump to the designated location. A maximum of 3 uses can be kept in reserve for this move.
Level 7

One of the following moves can be learned to replace Flail, upon filling effort gauge or reaching the specified level.

Dragon Breath
Ranged
5 seconds 1201 2178 Has the user exhale a mighty gust, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon and leaving them paralyzed. If the user hits an opposing Pokemon with this move, the user's basic attacks are boosted for a short time, dealing increased damage with increased basic attack speed. The more opposing Pokemon hit by this move (up to a maximum of 3), the greater the basic attack speed increase.

Upgrade (Level 10): Increases the damage dealt by this move and basic attacks.

Aqua Tail
Ranged
8 seconds 949
>> 2847
1513
>> 4539
Has the user swing its tail continuously for a set amount of time. If this move hits opposing Pokemon three times, this move can be used again. The second stage of the move has the user charge power, then sweep its tail to attack a wider area. If the user charges power for a set amount of time or longer before attacking, the move's area of effect is increased and it deals increased damage.

Upgrade (Level 10): The second stage of the move deals additional damage based on the percentage of HP the opposing Pokemon has lost.

Level 7

One of the following moves can be learned to replace Splash, upon filling effort gauge or reaching the specified level.

Waterfall
Dash
8 seconds 524
>> 1572
758
>> 2274
Has the user charge three times in a row at awesome speed, dealing damage to opposing Pokemon it hits. The user can change direction between each charge. If the second charge hits an opposing Pokemon, the user is granted a shield. If the third charge hits an opposing Pokemon, the opposing Pokemon is thrown.

Upgrade (Level 12): Reduces this move's cooldown.

Bounce
Melee
8.5 seconds 1095 1590 Has the user charge power, then bounce to the designated location and attack. The longer power is charged, the farther the user can bounce. If power is charged for a certain amount of time or longer, the user is granted a shield when it bounces, and the user applies a movement speed decrease to opposing Pokemon it hits when it lands.

Upgrade (Level 12): Strengthens the effect of the shield granted by this move.

Level 9

The Pokémon learns its Unite Move.

Dragon Current
Area
112 seconds 981 1303 Has the user dive underwater, where it can't attack or be targeted by opposing Pokemon. When this move is used again, the user leaps up forcefully and attacks. If the user stays underwater for a set amount of time, it creates a whirlpool where it surfaces, applying a continuous slowing effect to opposing Pokemon it hits. If the user stays underwater for an even longer amount of time, it creates a waterspout where it surfaces, throwing opposing Pokemon it hits.
