Strategy[]

Reach Level 5 Quickly to Mega-Evolve and Fill Up the Mega Gauge[]
Mewtwo has a passive ability called Pressure that lets it have a Mega gauge that needs to be filled up in order to Mega-Evolve into Mewtwo X. Filling this gauge requires Mewtwo to be at least Level 5 or higher and use Standard Attacks on enemies in order to fill it up, so farm wild Pokemon along your chosen lane, secure the wild Pokemon spawns, and help in pushing lanes during early game to utilize Mewtwo's passive ability.
Take Advantage of AoE Standard Attacks[]
Mewtwo also differs from other Pokemon due to its Standard Attacks being able to hit enemies within the mon's range. As Mewtwo X, its Standard Attacks come out faster and hit harder, so it's best to gather targets in one place.
Evolution[]
When attacking opposing Pokemon unevolved, the Mega Gauge fills up. Every stack gives Mewtwo X a 2% boost to its Attack, Defense, and Sp. Def. When the gauge reaches a maximum of 10 stacks, Mewtwo X mega evolves. Mewtwo gains an additional increase in HP, Attack, Defence, and Sp. Defence when it undergoes Mega Evolution. All four statistics are all up 10%.
Mewtwo X effectively gains a 30% boost in Attack, Defence, and Sp. Def as well as a 10% boost in HP when the boost from the gauge is added in.
