Strategies[]
For more tips and tricks on using Scizor, see here.
Pick Scyther for Mobility and Burst[]
You must choose Dual Wingbeat as your damaging move upgrade if you wish to continue playing as Scyther for the duration of the game. This technique allows you to push your targets without getting into a physical altercation since it provides you sufficient range and manoeuvrability. Depending on the circumstances, you can utilise the extra dash activation to get combative or to just back down. Keep in mind that the second activation is excellent for taking down single targets because it provides greater damage to opponents with low HP.
Being a more agile Pokemon, Scyther uses crisp, rapid burst strikes to outmanoeuvre its opponents. Playing like Speedster Pokemon, it relies heavily on dash moves to make up for its lack of stamina. Players that favour assassin playstyles are the target audience for Scyther.
Pick Scizor for Consistent Sustain[]
You must choose Bullet Punch if you want your Pokemon to develop into Scizor. The move, which gives the Pokemon the ability to regenerate HP and continue in the fight for much longer, will be crucial to making Scizor's gameplay a reality. You will be encouraged to become more aggressive as you battle since the heal you receive from the move will depend on how much damage it delivers. It is also perfect for fights because it has many activations that allow it to take out multiple opponents at once.
Evolution[]
Scyhter can evolve into Scizor if the move Bullet Punch is selected upon reaching Level 5. Selecting
Dual Wingbeat will leave it at Scyther for the rest of the match.

Trivia[]
- In comparison to Scyther, Scizor has superior numbers for Defence, HP, and Sp. Defence. But unlike its companion, it lacks the bursty, rapid damage, so it plays more like a conventional All-Rounder. During team fights, Scizor performs best when positioned at the front, where it can absorb attacks and deliver them with ease.
