Strategy[]
For more tips and tricks on using Talonflame, see here.
- Talonflame is a speedster Pokémon. Most of its moveset is based off of a hit and run.
- Talonflame has 2 combinations of moves. The first one is the Brave Bird/Aerial Ace combo. This combo is great for wiping out low HP enemies. This is because you can use Brave Bird, then Aerial Ace, and if you hit an enemy with a boosted attack for a short duration afterwards, you get another free Aerial Ace.
- The second combination is Fly/Flame Charge. This combination works well for catching up with retreating enemies, as well as dishing out a lot of damage. Furthermore, if you need to escape from a fight, you can easily do so with the invincibility frame that Fly gives you, as well as the increased speed. This combo works by engaging with Fly and finishing off with Flame Charge.
- Talonflame highly relies on burst damage from Brave Bird and Fly. Try to aim manually so that you don't miss your move. If you miss your move, your survivability would not be high because Talonflame has a low health and does not have an escape tool if Brave Bird or Fly is used as it has a very long cooldown. By manually aiming, you can also pick your enemies carefully and steal objectives such as Drednaw, Rotom and Zapdos.
- As a Talonflame, a Jungler role is essential as Talonflame reaches its true potential starting at level 7. Try to also do a sneaky score if you have score related items as Talonflane can quickly disengage if the score attempt fails.
- Talonflame's Unite Move has a short width and cannot pass walls so try to aim and time it carefully. Also avoid enemies with the unstoppable status as the enemy won't get Sweeped. As it cannot pass through walls, you can use the eject button.
